Overview

Flow Templates are pre-built automation workflows designed by BeyondCart's marketing experts. Each template comes with a trigger, actions, delays, and conditions already configured for a specific marketing scenario. Templates save you time and follow proven patterns that drive engagement and revenue.

Prerequisites

  • At least one communication channel configured (Push, Email, or SMS)

Step-by-Step Guide

Available Templates

Welcome Series

  • Trigger: Event — user registers or installs the app.

  • Structure: A sequence of 3 push notifications spaced over 7 days. The first welcomes the user, the second highlights popular products, and the third offers a first-purchase incentive.

  • Goal: First purchase within 14 days.

  • Best for: Converting new app installs into first-time buyers.

Abandoned Cart

  • Trigger: Event — cart_abandoned.

  • Structure: A 1-hour delay followed by a push notification reminding the user of their cart. A condition checks if the user purchased. If not, a second reminder is sent after 24 hours.

  • Goal: Purchase completion.

  • Best for: Recovering lost sales from users who added items but did not check out.

Product View Reminder

  • Trigger: Event — page_view on a product page.

  • Structure: A 4-hour delay, a condition checking if the user purchased the viewed product, and a push notification for those who did not.

  • Goal: Purchase of the viewed product.

  • Best for: Re-engaging browsers who showed interest but did not buy.

Post-Purchase Follow-Up

  • Trigger: Event — purchase.

  • Structure: A thank-you notification sent immediately, followed by a 7-day delay and a request for a review or feedback. A condition checks if the user has made a second purchase; if not, a cross-sell recommendation is sent.

  • Goal: Repeat purchase within 30 days.

  • Best for: Building loyalty and encouraging repeat purchases.

Win-Back

  • Trigger: Scheduled — runs weekly.

  • Structure: Targets users who have not made a purchase in 60+ days. Sends a "We miss you" notification with a special offer. A 7-day delay is followed by a condition to check for re-engagement.

  • Goal: Purchase or app open within 14 days.

  • Best for: Re-activating dormant customers.

Birthday

  • Trigger: Scheduled — runs daily, filtered to users whose birthday is today.

  • Structure: Sends a birthday greeting with a personalized discount code. A follow-up reminder is sent 3 days before the code expires.

  • Goal: Purchase using the birthday discount.

  • Best for: Personal touch marketing that drives seasonal revenue.

Key Concepts

  • Templates are starting points. Every aspect of a template can be customized after you apply it. Change the copy, adjust delays, add or remove nodes — the template adapts to your brand.

  • Templates follow best practices. Delay durations, condition logic, and message sequences are designed based on proven e-commerce marketing patterns.

  • Templates create independent flows. Once you apply a template, the resulting flow is entirely yours. Updates to the template library do not affect flows you have already created.

Tips and Best Practices

  • Start with Welcome Series and Abandoned Cart. These two templates address the highest-impact moments in the customer lifecycle and typically generate the most revenue.

  • Customize the notification copy. Template messages are generic. Replace them with your brand voice and specific product references for better results.

  • Adjust delays for your audience. A 1-hour abandoned cart reminder works for most stores, but if your products require longer consideration (e.g., luxury goods), try a 4-hour or 24-hour delay instead.

  • Add Goal nodes if the template does not include one. Every flow should track at least one conversion metric.

  • Review template structure before activating. Walk through each node to understand the logic, even if you do not change anything.
