Overview

BeyondCart's gamification features let you engage your customers with fun, interactive games right inside your mobile app. Reward shoppers with coupons, free products, and more — turning browsing into an experience that drives loyalty and sales.

How Gamification Works

BeyondCart offers three game types, each with a unique feel:

  • Wheel of Fortune — A spinning prize wheel displayed as a WebView overlay. Customers tap to spin and win.

  • Scratch Card — A digital scratch-off card rendered as a WebView. Customers scratch to reveal their prize.

  • Mystery Box — A native component where customers tap to open mystery boxes and discover rewards.

The Credit System

Games run on a simple credit system:

  • You add credits — From the admin panel, assign play credits to individual customers or groups.

  • Customers play — Each play costs one credit. Once a customer uses their credits, they wait until you grant more.

  • Results are stored — Every play is recorded with the outcome, so you can review performance at any time.

Play Limits

You control how often customers can play:

  • Once per day — The customer can play one time every 24 hours.

  • Once per game — The customer gets a single play for the lifetime of that game.

Prizes You Can Offer

  • Shopify discount codes — Automatically generated or pre-set coupon codes.

  • Free products — Grant a specific product as a reward.

  • Deep links — Send winners to a specific screen or page in your app.

Game Statuses

Every game has one of three statuses:

  • Active — Live and visible to customers.

  • Inactive — Paused and hidden from customers.

  • Draft — Work in progress; not yet published.

Key Concepts

  • Test Mode — Enable test mode on any game to allow unlimited plays. Perfect for previewing before going live.

  • Guest Access — Optionally allow guest (non-logged-in) users to play games.

  • Deep Links — Link directly to games from push notifications, emails, or banners using beyondcart://wheel, beyondcart://scratch-card, or beyondcart://mystery-box.

Tips

  • Start with a Wheel of Fortune — it's visually exciting and easy to configure.

  • Use test mode to preview every prize tier before activating a game.

  • Combine gamification with push notifications to drive engagement spikes.

  • Review game history regularly to understand which prizes resonate most.
