Overview

Instead of sending a campaign immediately, you can schedule it for a specific date and time. This lets you plan your messaging in advance, align with promotions, and send notifications when your audience is most active.

How to Schedule a Campaign

Step 1: Build Your Campaign

Create your campaign as usual—fill in the name, title, message, image, deep link, and targeting. See Creating a Campaign for the full walkthrough.

Step 2: Choose Schedule Instead of Send

When you reach the final step, instead of clicking Send Now, click the Schedule option.

Step 3: Pick a Date and Time

A date and time picker appears. Select the day and the exact time you want the notification delivered.

Date — Click the calendar to choose the delivery date.

Time — Set the hour and minute. The time uses a 24-hour format for clarity.

Step 4: Confirm the Timezone

The scheduler displays the timezone associated with your account. All scheduled times are based on this timezone. Double-check that it matches your intended delivery window.

If your audience spans multiple timezones, choose a time that works for the majority. A common approach is to target mid-morning or early afternoon in your primary market.

Step 5: Confirm and Schedule

Click Schedule Campaign to lock in the delivery. The campaign moves to the Scheduled status and appears in the campaign list with its planned send date.

What Happens at the Scheduled Time

When the scheduled date and time arrive, BeyondCart automatically sends the notification to the targeted audience. No manual action is required. The campaign status changes from Scheduled to Sent, and delivery statistics begin populating.

The audience is calculated at the moment of sending, not when you schedule it. This means any subscribers who join or leave segments between scheduling and sending will be reflected in the final audience.

Cancelling a Scheduled Campaign

If plans change, you can cancel a scheduled campaign before it sends.

  1. Open the Campaigns list and filter by the Scheduled tab.

  2. Click the campaign you want to cancel.

  3. Click Cancel Campaign in the campaign detail view.

  4. Confirm the cancellation.

The campaign moves to the Cancelled status. Cancelled campaigns are never sent and cannot be reactivated, but you can duplicate them to create a new campaign with the same content.

Viewing Scheduled Campaigns

Use the Scheduled filter tab on the campaign list page to see all upcoming campaigns in one place. Each entry shows the campaign name, audience size, and the scheduled send date and time, making it easy to review your upcoming messaging calendar.

Tips for Scheduling

  • Schedule campaigns during peak engagement hours—check your dashboard's session data to find when users are most active.

  • Build and schedule campaigns in advance so you have time to review them with fresh eyes before they send.

  • If you are running a flash sale, schedule the notification to go out slightly before the sale starts so users are ready.

  • Always send a test notification before scheduling to ensure the content looks correct on real devices.
