Overview

The Okendo integration brings your Okendo product reviews into the BeyondCart mobile app. Star ratings, review counts, and individual reviews render natively on the product page — fast and styled to match the rest of your app.

Use cases and benefits

  • Native review experience — no webview, full control over typography and layout.

  • Trust signals on the PDP — average rating and review count appear above the fold so customers see them at decision time.

  • Reuse your existing Okendo data — review collection emails, post-purchase prompts, and Okendo's review widgets continue working unchanged.

Prerequisites

  • An Okendo account with reviews collected.

  • Okendo connected to your Shopify store.

  • Admin access to your BeyondCart dashboard.

Setup instructions

1. Get your Okendo Store ID

  1. Log in to your Okendo dashboard.

  2. Open Settings → API & Integrations.

  3. Copy your Store ID (sometimes labelled User ID or Subscriber ID).

The Store ID is public — Okendo embeds it in every widget URL — so it's safe to paste into BeyondCart.

2. Paste the Store ID into BeyondCart

  1. Open your BeyondCart admin dashboard.

  2. Go to Site Settings → Integrations.

  3. Find the Okendo Reviews section.

  4. Paste your Store ID into the Okendo Store ID field.

  5. Click Save.

What customers see in the app

  • A star-rating summary at the top of the product page (average + total review count).

  • A native review list with the reviewer's display name, the review title, the body, and the star rating.

  • Pagination as the customer scrolls.

Tips and best practices

  • Make sure each product is mapped in Okendo. Okendo identifies products by Shopify product ID with a shopify- prefix. The mobile app handles this prefix automatically — you don't need to do anything special.

  • Use one review provider per store. Running Okendo alongside Judge.me, Yotpo, Fera, AiTrillion, or Loox for the same products produces conflicting review counts.

  • Approve reviews in Okendo. Reviews still in Okendo's moderation queue won't appear in the app.

Troubleshooting

No reviews appear in the app. Confirm the Store ID is correct (try copying it again from Okendo) and that the product has at least one approved review.

A specific product's reviews don't show. Check that the product is correctly synced in Okendo with the matching Shopify product ID.

Average rating shows lower than expected. The mobile app rounds down to the nearest whole star for the visual average. The exact decimal rating is shown in the rating count text alongside it.
