Overview

The BOGOS integration brings your buy-one-get-one and free-gift offers from the BOGOS Shopify app into your BeyondCart mobile app. Customers see your gift offers on the home screen and product page, and qualifying products are automatically added (or quantities adjusted) when they meet an offer's conditions.

Use cases and benefits

  • Same offers, all surfaces — your BOGOS rules already power your web store; the app simply mirrors them.

  • Automatic gift detection — the app checks the cart against your offers and adds the gift automatically when conditions are met, so customers don't miss out.

  • No per-product tagging in BeyondCart — manage everything in BOGOS as you do today.

Prerequisites

  • The BOGOS Shopify app (sometimes shown as "Free Gifts BOGOS.io" in the Shopify App Store) installed and active in your store.

  • At least one published gift offer in BOGOS.

  • Admin access to your BeyondCart dashboard.

Setup instructions

BOGOS requires no API key from you — BeyondCart connects to BOGOS using a partner-level integration. You just toggle the integration on.

  1. Open your BeyondCart admin dashboard.

  2. Go to Site Settings → Integrations.

  3. Find the BOGOS Free Gifts section.

  4. Toggle Enable BOGOS on.

  5. Click Save.

The mobile app picks up your active BOGOS offers on the next app load.

What customers see in the app

  • Active gift offers displayed where you've configured them on the home screen and product pages.

  • Automatic gift addition — when a customer's cart qualifies for an offer (e.g., they reach the spend threshold), the gift product is added at zero or discounted price.

  • Quantity sync — the app keeps gift quantities in line with what BOGOS expects so the offer applies cleanly at checkout.

Tips and best practices

  • Test each offer end-to-end. Place a qualifying test order from your own account to confirm the gift is added correctly and applies through Shopify checkout.

  • Use clear product imagery for gifts. A good photo on the gift product helps customers feel the value of the offer.

  • Match offer dates between BOGOS and any flow/campaign promoting them. A push notification advertising a free gift after the offer ended is a worse experience than no notification at all.

  • Watch your inventory. A free-gift offer that runs your inventory dry will frustrate customers who qualify but find the gift sold out.

Troubleshooting

Offers don't appear in the app. Confirm BOGOS is installed and at least one offer is published (not in draft) in the BOGOS dashboard. Toggle Enable BOGOS off and back on in BeyondCart settings to refresh.

Gift product not added when conditions are met. Double-check the offer's conditions in BOGOS — sometimes the offer is restricted to a specific country or customer tag that excludes the test account. Place a test order with a real customer profile that should qualify.

Gift product appears but Shopify checkout charges full price. This usually means the BOGOS app's checkout-side script didn't run. Confirm BOGOS is fully installed in your Shopify theme (the BOGOS app installer handles this automatically; if you've manually edited theme files, you may need to reinstall).
