Overview
A deep link determines what screen opens when a user taps your push notification. Instead of just launching the app to the home screen, deep links take the user directly to the most relevant content—whether that is a specific product, a collection, or their shopping cart.
Why Deep Links Matter
A well-chosen deep link reduces friction between the notification and the action you want the user to take. If your notification promotes a specific product, the user should land on that product page in one tap—not have to search for it. This directness improves conversion rates and creates a better user experience.
Available Deep Link Targets
When configuring a campaign, select one of the following targets from the deep link dropdown.
Home
Opens the app's home screen. Use this for general announcements or brand-level messages where no specific destination is more appropriate.
Configuration: No additional input required.
Product
Opens a specific product detail page. Use this when your notification highlights a single product, a new arrival, or a restocked item.
Configuration: Search for and select the product from your Shopify catalog.

Cart
Opens the user's shopping cart. Use this for abandoned cart reminders or "complete your purchase" nudges.

Wishlist
Opens the user's saved items or wishlist. Use this to remind users about products they expressed interest in or to announce price drops on wishlisted items.

Profile
Opens the user's account or profile screen. Use this for account-related notifications such as loyalty point updates, membership changes, or order status alerts.
Configuration: No additional input required.
URL
Opens an external web link in the app's built-in browser. Use this for content hosted outside your app, such as blog posts, partner promotions, or external landing pages.
Configuration: Enter the full URL including https://.
Example: https://example.com/spring-lookbook
Coupon
Opens the app and automatically applies a discount code. Use this for exclusive app-user deals, referral rewards, or loyalty incentives.
Configuration: Enter the Shopify discount code exactly as it appears in your Shopify admin.
Example: SPRING25

How to Configure a Deep Link
In the campaign editor, scroll to the Deep Link section.
Select a target from the dropdown menu.
If the target requires additional input (product, collection, page, URL, or coupon code), provide it in the field that appears.

Tips for Choosing the Right Deep Link
Match the deep link to the notification's message. If the title says "New sneakers just dropped," link to the specific product or collection—not the home screen.
Use the Cart deep link sparingly and only when the user already has items in their cart.
Use Coupon links for exclusive offers to make app users feel rewarded.
Test every deep link on a real device before sending to your full audience to confirm it opens the correct screen.
