Overview

The Loox integration embeds your Loox photo reviews into the product page of your BeyondCart mobile app. Loox is rendered as a webview using Loox's official mobile widget, so customers see the same photos, video reviews, and visual layout your storefront customers already know.

How it differs from other review integrations

Most review integrations in BeyondCart (Judge.me, Yotpo, Fera, Okendo, AiTrillion) render reviews as native React Native components for maximum speed and styling control. Loox is the exception — it uses an embedded webview so customers get the full Loox visual experience (photo carousels, video reviews, masonry layouts) exactly as Loox renders them on the web.

This is the right trade-off for visual review platforms but means:

Loox styling overrides BeyondCart's app theme inside the widget.
Loading is slightly slower than native reviews on first render.
Customers cannot submit a review from the in-app widget (they will be directed to Loox's standard collection flow — typically the post-purchase email).

Prerequisites

A Loox account with photo reviews collected.
Loox connected to your Shopify store.
Admin access to your BeyondCart dashboard.

Setup instructions

1. Get your Loox Site ID

Log in to your Loox dashboard.
Open the Settings or Install page.
Copy your numeric Site ID — it appears in the install snippet (e.g., 123456). It is also visible in the URL https://loox.io/widget/<siteId>/....

The Site ID is public — Loox embeds it in every widget URL — so it is safe to paste into BeyondCart.

2. Enable Loox in BeyondCart

Open your BeyondCart admin dashboard.
Go to Site Settings → Integrations.
Find the Loox Reviews section.
Toggle Enable Loox Reviews on.
Paste your Site ID into the Loox Site ID field.
Click Save.

When Loox is enabled, the app uses the Loox webview on product pages instead of the native review list — even if you also have credentials configured for another review provider.

What customers see in the app

Tips and best practices

Use Loox if photos drive your sales. Apparel, accessories, food, beauty — visual review platforms convert better than text-only reviews in these categories.
Pick Loox OR another review provider, not both. When Loox is enabled, it overrides the native review list. Set the other provider's flag to disabled.
Verify the Site ID. A wrong Site ID renders a broken or empty widget. Double-check it from the Loox install snippet.
Loox reviews collection runs on Loox's side. Email/SMS prompts are configured in the Loox dashboard, not in BeyondCart.

Troubleshooting

The product page shows a blank space where Loox should be. Confirm the Site ID is correct and the Enable Loox Reviews toggle is on. Try logging out of the app and back in to refresh the configuration.

Loox displays in the wrong language. The widget language follows the customer's app language. Check that Loox supports that language in your dashboard's localization settings.

Loox shows no reviews for a specific product. Confirm the product has reviews in Loox and that it is mapped to the correct Shopify product ID.
